What good is a table without chairs?

We had our first client meeting at our new Rapid City office on Tuesday, which meant that the weekend was consumed by chair making.  I’m starting to get the hang of this blogging thing and did a better job taking pictures of the process.

Assembling the bases

Our much-appreciated volunteer seamstress

Once again our building plans came from Ana White’s “Let’s Build Something” website.  So far we’ve made 7 Parson ChairsWe plan to make about 8 more chairs for the various rooms in the office.  Jerad bought the lumber at a going-out-of-business sale at a local building store and we found the fabric in the clearance bin at Hancock Fabrics for $3.25/yard, making the cost per chair about $25.00. Crazy. And I got to choose my fabric. Needless to say, we love them. Here’s the finished product.

For those of you who are beginning to wonder whether if we are actually lawyers, have no fear; in tomorrow’s post we will return to our discussion of Wills. (although I may include a picture of Jerad’s amazing L-shaped desk, just so you will read the post).
